How much molasses, fat, protein and fiber is in your horses feed?
This table shows the % of molasses contained in horse feeds.
Some feeds contain more molasses than others. I did this chart so that others can choose a feed that has more or less molasses in it, depending upon how their horse handles it. I have a couple of horses that can bounce off of the walls if I feed them a feed with 20% molasses, so choose to use feeds on the lower end of the spectrum. It makes for saner ride starts. :+} If you would like to provide information on a horse feed that is not listed below, email it to me. Hi Cindy – I’ve been using Manna Pro Complete 10. The horses really like it, and it’s less expensive than some of the other brands.

I have a 35 year old hores Boomer. ( yes, 35 years old ). We rescued him at the age of 30. He was aprox. 1 week away from death due to starvation. Boomer could hardly carry his own weight. He only has 7 teeth. The people were feeding him oats and hay.
We started to feed him Nutrina complete feed, and WOW did he gain the weight. My son still rides him ( Boomer ). The old man is fat and sassy, and its great. My husband and I have turned alot of people to nutrena complete feed, its the best.
