While I haven’t had anything as exciting happen as occurs in this video, I’ve been busy and look forward to catching up next week!
Heading over to Washoe State Park for the Washoo 50 tomorrow. I’m taking Bo! I am looking forward to trying the new alpaca saddle pad that I got. It’s beautiful. I can’t wait to see if it stays as cool on the horse as the Toklat Woolback pads do.

Endurance riders especially are really bad about allowing their horses to develop bad habits like moving or walking off when mounted. Being that I’m vertically challenged and riding horses that are all as tall or taller than I am, it is necessary for me that my own horses stand still. I’m not very tolerant of that particular bad habit.

I took this video at the High Desert ride in October. I rode Bo both days there and this was some of the trail on the second day. We finished in the top ten that day and were 1st in our weight division, so there aren’t a lot of tracks ahead of us – I would guess after more horses went through it got even more beat up.
