This will likely be my last post before heading off to Robie Park. I may be able to send some photos or comments to Facebook. Check my previous posts with links to the Tevis Webcast. I am rider #49 this year. I hope that Bo can make it safely through the course in good shape. That is the main goal, to keep the horse happy, sound, and healthy…and of course upright!! (Note to horse: Stay ON the trail!)
Bo is very fit, strong, has good recoveries and takes great care of himself, and me. He also does well in technical stuff. I feel safe on Bo. I would have preferred to ride Chief but – since he got those heat bumps in his arm pits doing only 24 miles on the pre-ride, it isn’t a good idea to risk hurting him — when Bo came through 100%. I am looking forward to having a blast on Saturday and getting to see so many of my friends!
I really think that the Tevis Cup is the largest gathering of endurance riders in the entire world! Once you realize how many attend this thing – riders, crews, volunteers – I’ve never been anywhere like it!
I hope to be able to trade off my memory cards so that photos and video of the trail that I have taken can be uploaded during the event. Watch the Tevis News Twitter feed as well as the Tevis Webcast page for more!

Good luck to you. I am getting ready to head out now to find a spot along the trail to capture this great event. If you want any pictures just let me know.
