Had a gorgeous day as you can see by the beautiful blue sky! Dave rode out with us but Tigger acted up when he had some…uhhh….tack type issues. I didn’t see it but I heard that the rodeo that ensued was quite entertaining. It’s amazing that Dave stays on as well as he does.
I rode Chief and we had a good day. We got to mark the trail in the equestrian park, then got to hang out at the market to get picked up in the trailer. It was a great day to get the edge off of Chief.
I helped Gene Nance vet the horses in. Well, okay I make sure they got checked off on the name list…lol. It’s fun to watch all of the different horses and how they move, and how their feet look. What a difference from one to another!
I think that we had more pre-entries than actually showed up, though it should be a pretty decent turnout. It is supposed to be a little cooler tomorrow, which will be a good thing for the horses. Chief did great today since he was body clipped before we came down here. It will sure help tomorrow when we have to meet the 60 criteria at three vetchecks during the ride. I can hardly wait (not) to be headed back to camp with him that many times. I’m really glad I rode him today!
