Arabian Silk is now available on DVD!

Earlier this year I did a review of Arabian Silk after viewing it at the Reno Film festival.  Click here to read that review.

The “Arabian Silk” DVD is now available at www.arabiansilk.com for purchase. It includes the 49 minute version, 2 trailers and a 15 minute documentary on “The Making of Arabian Silk”.

The cost is $20.00 plus $5.00 shipping and sales tax.

This would make a wonderful gift for any horse lover!

Grand Canyon XP Ride Photos – All 5 Days!

Click on each day in the list below to see a separate photo album.  I have previously posted the 3rd days photos, but the rest were all just put up this morning.

This year, on day 1 we had a light rain in the morning followed by some snow flurries after lunch.  After that, it cleared up and we had gorgeous weather the rest of the week.  This is a really gorgeous ride –

Barefoot transitioning: Hoof Boot Q & A

Now that more and more people are reading my blog, I get a lot of feedback and requests from people about topics that they would like to see covered.  I’m definitely not running short on ideas anytime soon, which is great!

At any given time I’ve got at least a dozen or more posts in draft stage that I’m working on.  If you’d like to make a suggestion to see something covered, let me

Chief’s eyelid

Here are shots showing the eyelid healing as of 11/09.  There are still stitches in – they are blue and in the back corner of the eyelid (upper part).

It looks like the last little surgery that my vet did on the eyelid is working.

Through all of this Chief has been an excellent patient.  I know he will be really happy that this will finally be over.  I had to put medication into

2009 H1N1 Flu…aka the Swine Flu

My ankle a week later, it's much better – a horse wasn't even involved!

Well, it looks like so far about six of us that went to the GRD ride have come down with it.  IT being the dang Swine Flu!

Here is more info from the CDC about the H1N1 virus.  It’s really going around.  I know a lot of people that have it now, or have already had it.

Here are

Mt. Carmel XP Trail Scenery

There will be more on these new ride changes in the next XP newsletter that will be going out soon to the XP riders.

You can also check the xprides.com website for updates.

Next year we will NOT be holding the Fort Schellbourne ride.

We have applied to add two more days onto Mt. Carmel so that it will be expanded from the current 3 days and 155

Git-R-Done Ride

We had a really nice ride both days at the GRD ride.  I rode Bo both days in the 50.

The weather was beautiful, the trail was well marked and there was plenty of water.  They had lots of volunteers and overall did a really great job on the ride.  The ride was small this year – I think around 34 or 35 riders on the first day and 26 on the second day.
