Have you ever had a really special horse?

I really miss Weaver.

I’m going to go mark some trail tomorrow for the EHSC (Eastern High Sierra Classic) ride.

This photo is of Weaver in a previous year when we marked trail for that ride.

We also rode the EHSC 50 a lot of times.  It was my first 50….on Weaver.

Fifteen years ago.

Running Martingale Modification and Other Uses for Adhere Glue

This is a photo showing my running martingale after it has been altered.

The single snap on the top clips to the center ring on a breastcollar.

The other side originally had round rings on each end.  I took the stitching out of the biothane there and took those round rings off.

I put the two round rings from the martinale on my reins.  The reins are rope reins and they have rubber stoppers

Update on the horses and a chainsaw massacre (sort of….)

Okay where do I start?  I’ve had a busy and exciting couple of days with lots of good news.  First and most importantly – BO PASSED HIS VET EXAM!!  Whew.  Major sigh of relief!  Actually, I was pretty confident that he would and I think he would have passed it about two weeks before the Tevis.  I just couldn’t bring myself to do it

Back from Tevis, catching up!

Here I am with Roxanne Greene – She has completed the Tevis 20 times and is now a ride official and on the Cup Committee

Another Tevis Cup ride is now history.  Out of 169 starters, 87 completed this year for a 51% completion rate.  Some of the stats have been posted on the Tevis News Twitter page.  Once more info comes in and gets verified it’ll go up on the Tevis Cup
