First Two Day Results Overview from Grand Canyon XP Endurance Ride
1st Place and BC - Day 2 - Stephanie & Hadji Halef Omar
Unofficial but here is a bit of info on how the ride is going so far:
Day 1 - 45/44 starters/completions. First place was a tie between Sharon and Crockett Dumas. Sharon’s horse OT Moniet Oleta RSI received BC. I got a photo of Crockett (below) after finishing yesterday.
Day 2 - 35/33 starters/completions. First place was Stephanie Du Ross and her horse Hadji Halef Omar also received BC. The first photo is of Stephanie’s horse. Today I”ll try to get a photo of Sharon (if she rode). I slept through the start today so didn’t ride.
Again, here is a link to the photo album on the XP Website with photos from camp, pre-ride, and the day-1 trail. The trail today is one of my favorites as it has a lot of neat forest singletrack sections that are a bit technical. I love hopping over logs and weaving in and out, it’s like a roller coaster ride. I still have one or two more opportunities to ride again this week, but if I don’t at least I got one good day in.
