Chief Dreams

This photo is one of my favorites of Chief.  I rode him 6 days and 330 miles at the Fort Stanton ride in 2005, one of the years that he won the AERC National Mileage Championship.  This is him dreaming, and as you can see he is envisioning the carrots and other food that surrounds him.  He often trots in his sleep when he is lying down.  Just like a dog
